Pennsylvania Municipal League Meets this Weekend in Gettysburg

Gettysburg is hosting this week a gathering of municipal officials from around the state who are attending the Pennsylvania Municipal League’s 120th Annual Summit in Gettysburg.

The mission of the Pennsylvania Municipal League is to strengthen, empower, and advocate for effective local government. PML represents Pennsylvania’s cities, boroughs, townships, home rule municipalities and towns that share The League’s municipal policy interests. The summit provides educational, network development and best practice sharing opportunities for Pennsylvania officials.

The summit is hosted by Mayor Ted Streeter, Borough Manager Charles Gable, and Gettysburg Council President Susan Naugle,

The presiding summit officer is Easton PA mayor Salvatore J. Panto, Jr.

The summit will kick off Thursday when league members help build a new playground in the “Imagination Playground Reveal” from 10:30 a.m to 2:30 p.m. in the rec park on Long Lane in Gettysburg. The build ends with a ribbon-cutting dedication.

Attending the event will be Gettysburg mayor Ted Streeter, borough councilmember Jake Schindel, Mayor Salvatore J. Panto, Jr., City of Easton, League President, Richard J. Schuettler, Executive Director, Pennsylvania Municipal League, and municipal officials, partners, and community volunteers.

The summit members will also participate in the Long, Long, Long, Long Dinner Party on Friday evening.
