On April 10, 2024, the Governor’s Awards for Local Government Excellence were held to honor 14 communities, three organizations, and nine individuals for their dedication to strengthening their communities and better serving their residents.
Governor Josh Shapiro, Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis, and Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) Secretary Rick Siger recognized the awards during a virtual ceremony held on Pennsylvania Local Government Day. The ceremony recognized the local officials and organizations serving their communities as they strive to make Pennsylvania a better place to live, work, and thrive.
