Pennsylvania voters urged to check registration ahead of Nov. 4 election

With Pennsylvania’s general election approaching on Nov. 4, 2025, state officials are urging residents to confirm that their voter registration is accurate and up to date — especially if they have recently moved or changed their name.

Voters who plan to cast their ballots either by mail or in person at their polling place must ensure any changes to their registration are made by Monday, Oct. 20, 2025. That deadline also applies to those wishing to update their party affiliation before the election.

“Now is the time to make sure your information is current,” Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt said in a statement encouraging voters to check their status early.

Pennsylvanians can verify their registration status quickly online at vote.pa.gov/Status. Those who need to update their information or register for the first time can do so through the state’s official election website at vote.pa.gov.

For questions about ballots, voting locations, or local election details, voters are encouraged to contact their county board of elections. A full directory is available at vote.pa.gov/County.

Officials are also urging Pennsylvanians to spread the word. Reminding family, friends, and colleagues to check their registration can help ensure that all eligible voters are prepared to cast their ballots on Election Day.

Pennsylvania voters will have the option to vote in person at their assigned polling place on Nov. 4 or vote by mail if they apply for and return a mail ballot by the required deadlines.

More information about voter registration, mail voting, deadlines, and polling locations is available at vote.pa.gov.
