A growing number of Adams County residents are demanding the resignation of Sheriff James Muller following a controversial social media post that critics say appeared to condone political violence.
An online petition surfaced this week, citing a Facebook meme Muller shared in mid-June during the nationwide “No Kings” protests, including a demonstration in Gettysburg on June 14. The post featured an image of a blood-splattered truck labeled “The All New Dodge Ram Protestor Edition,” sparking immediate backlash from community members and activists.
Petition organizers argue the post was irresponsible and dangerous, especially given the tense national climate at the time. They emphasized that had a real vehicle been driven into the Gettysburg protest crowd, the consequences could have been deadly.
The petition condemns any suggestion of political violence, stating that such messaging is incompatible with the values and mission of the sheriff’s office. It calls on Muller to step down immediately, saying his actions undermine public trust and safety.

I wish people would stop being such sensitive sissy’s. It was a post of complete satire. Im glad I voted for him and i hope he shrugs this off and continues on.
I wish people would learn proper punctuation.
THAT’S satire (sort of).
What this elected official did, in this instance, certainly isn’t. If he was just another citizen, it would be treated as such and shrugged off. But different rules apply here – whether you like it or not.
Any comment from Muller?
Weeks later, still no comment from the Sheriff…
You are overreacting. Freedom of press?
Where can I find this petition?
