Philadelphia Soccer 2026 Launches Contest to Design Official Host City Poster for FIFA World Cup 26 Philadelphia™

Since the inception of the FIFA World Cup in 1930, it has been a tradition for FIFA to design an official poster for each edition of the tournament. Ahead of FIFA World Cup 26™, the largest single-sporting event in history, each of the 16 Host Cities across Canada, Mexico, and the United States will also debut their own unique posters, reflecting their cities’ unique cultures and communities.

“Sports and the arts have an inextricable link because of the power, emotion, and passion both embody. The FIFA World Cup is unforgettable not only because of the elite competition on the pitch but also because of the powerful culture that surrounds global soccer, and art is part of that cultural expression. Designing a FIFA World Cup poster is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and to be able to put such a personal touch on our poster, given the vibrant arts and culture community in our Commonwealth, is an opportunity we embrace. We are confident that Pennsylvania’s artists and designers will rise to this occasion, delivering a level of creativity that will shine on the world’s stage,” said Meg Kane, Host City Executive/CEO, Philadelphia Soccer 2026.

The design contest invites artists from across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to showcase their talents by submitting portfolios at PhillyFWC26.com/PosterContest. By fostering local artistic expression, Philadelphia Soccer 2026 aims to elevate Pennsylvania’s diverse arts scene while integrating the spirit of community and creativity into the fabric of this international sporting event.

From the call for portfolios, ten (10) artists will be selected to bring their ideas to life with a full poster design and receive a $1,000 stipend. Three
(3) finalists from this group will be chosen for FIFA consideration by a panel of esteemed judges from across Pennsylvania’s arts and culture community and receive an additional $2,500 stipend. The final selection, which will be made by FIFA, will become the official Host City poster, a visual representation of Pennsylvania’s vibrant soccer culture and artistic prowess. The winning poster will be unveiled in 2025, and its artist will receive $7,500, plus promotional opportunities leading up to and during FIFA World Cup 26™.
