Gettysburg Police chief Robert Glenny said last week that three individuals, all of whom were arrested on DUI counts as well, had been charged with violating the Gettysburg curfew law.

Glenny said people who are arrested with “something public” will be also be charged on violations of the stay-at-home order.
“I really want to caution folks that the scammers are out there,” said Glenny. “We have information on our Facebook page. Don’t give out any information over the phone,” said Glenny.
Glenny said he has now issued a directive that any time a police officer enters any residential-type structure they are to use personal protective equipment including N95 face masks and gloves.
“Unfortunately it’s the time we’re into,” said Glenny.
“There’s a lot of misinformation out there,” said Glenny. “Please take heed and get your information from reputable sources.”
“We’re not stopping people asking them for their papers. We won’t be using our curfew for probable cause in and of itself,” said Glenny.
“Often social media is not a proper source. Verify the information. We’re doing our best to put that information out,” said Glenny.
