Gettysburg Connection is about community, and we want to share everyone’s announcements with our readers.

Unfortunately, the number of requests for press releases and calendar event listings we receive has grown dramatically and we cannot always share them all.

We follow these policies:

  • Subject to space limitations, we normally share press releases and calendar events from non-profit organizations that we feel are particularly important to the local community.  However, we ask non-profits to consider supporting our trustworthy local news by paying a nominal fee for calendar events and press releases.
  • We normally share all calendar events and press releases from non-profit and for-profit organizations that are Gettysburg Connection sponsors. Sponsorship also brings other benefits. Click here to learn more about our sponsorships.
  • For-profit organizations that wish to share a press release or a calendar event can do so on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us for pricing.

Press releases become part of our standard news feed and will remain on our home page for approximately two weeks.

Press releases are normally posted on our announcements page and remain there indefinitely.

Press releases that announce an event will be listed on our community calendar.

Most press releases receive a short description and a link to the full announcement in our Gettysburg Go! Newsletter.

Calendar events appear on the calendar from the date we publish them until the event date.

Our site home page receives over 40,000 monthly page views and our newsletter is read by over 3,000 readers.
