Prince Harry Is A Resident Of The United States

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex and fifth in line to the British throne, has officially confirmed his U.S. residency four years after relocating to Southern California with Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. This development comes as a formal estrangement from his home country of Britain, where he previously served as a senior royal family member.

Documents filed this week by Travalyst Ltd, a sustainable tourism company predominantly owned by Prince Harry, have declared him “usually resident” in the United States. This paperwork was submitted to Companies House, the UK agency responsible for company registrations, underscoring his commitment to living abroad.

Prince Harry’s move to America has been marked by controversy and a series of public criticisms of the royal family, including in his autobiography “Spare” and a Netflix series, where he has discussed issues like unconscious racism within the royal institution. These revelations have only deepened the divide between him and the royal family, highlighting a tumultuous departure from his duties and his country.

Although Harry technically remains a counselor of state, a role that entails substituting for King Charles III during his absence or illness, the British Crown has stipulated that only active members of the royal family will undertake these responsibilities.
