Penn State’s 46-hour dance marathon, THON, is just around the corner. While the University Park campus will be the hub of the annual event from Feb. 16–18, alumni can participate in the dance marathon by attending local events and donating to the cause.
One way for alumni to get involved is to attend the Dance Marathon Alumni Interest Group (DMAIG) website. The website provides information about the THON Dance Marathon and other events that alumni can attend in their area. Some of the events include a virtual challenge to those who can’t dance and a virtual run/walk during THON weekend.
Another way alumni can support THON is to donate directly to the Four Diamonds fund. The Four Diamonds fund supports the research for pediatric cancer. Alumni can donate online, make a donation via text message, or set up a donation through the DA’s website.
The Pittsburgh chapter of the Alumni Association also hosts a Blue White Ball gala event to raise funds for THON. The annual event brings in over $200,000 each year. This year’s event will be held at Grand Hall at The Priory. Tickets are on sale now.
