Community members, local property owners, and stakeholders are invited to attend the Final Public Engagement Event for the Boyds School Road Pathway on Tuesday, April 28. This meeting is the final opportunity for the public to review and discuss the proposed pathway design before the project moves forward.
The evening will begin with a property owners’ meeting at 5:00 p.m., followed by a public meeting at 5:30 p.m. Both sessions will take place at the Gettysburg Area Recreation Authority’s Sterner Building, located at 545 Long Lane, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
The Boyds School Road Pathway project aims to improve safety, connectivity, and accessibility for people walking and biking along Boyds School Road. At this final public engagement event, attendees will have the opportunity to review the final concept plan, learn about estimated construction costs, and discuss long‑term maintenance considerations for the pathway.
Project representatives will be available to explain key design elements, answer questions, and gather feedback from attendees. Information shared during the meeting will help inform next steps as the project moves toward implementation.
“This event is an important milestone for the project,” organizers noted. “We encourage property owners and community members to attend, review the final concept, and ask questions so they fully understand what is being proposed and how it may impact them.”
For those unable to attend in person, the meeting will also be available online via Microsoft Teams.
