Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a bridge replacement project on Route 116 (Fairfield Road) near Gettysburg in Adams County is scheduled to begin Monday, December 2. The bridge spans a tributary to Marsh Creek between Knoxlyn Road (Route 3013) and Knoxlyn Ortanna Road (Route 3020) in Highland Township.
Weather permitting, the bridge will be closed Monday, December 2. A detour will be in place using Knoxlyn Orrtanna Road (Route 3020) and Carrolls Tract Road (Route 3011).

This project consists of a bridge replacement, milling and paving.
Lobar Site Development Corporation of Dillsburg, PA, is the contractor on this $1,046,354 project.
All work is expected to be completed by June 24, 2025.
