The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Route 15 will be closed between Baltimore Pike (Route 97) and Taneytown Road (Route 134) for about a week, beginning Sunday evening at about 7:00 p.m.

A detour will be in effect using Baltimore Pike (Route 97) to Hoffman Home Road (Route 2029), to Orphanage Road (Route 2010) to Barlow-Two Taverns Road (Route 2001), to Taneytown Road (Route 134), to Route 15 southbound. Route 15 northbound will remain open.
The project is an emergency repair to replace a deteriorating pipe located just south of Sachs Road in Cumberland Township.
The work is expected to be completed by 7:00 a.m. on Friday January 31.
