Route 15 Southbound Will Close Next Week Between Routes 97 and 134 for Emergency Repair Work

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Route 15 will be closed between Baltimore Pike (Route 97) and Taneytown Road (Route 134) for about a week, beginning Sunday evening at about 7:00 p.m.

A detour will be in effect using Baltimore Pike (Route 97) to Hoffman Home Road (Route 2029), to Orphanage Road (Route 2010) to Barlow-Two Taverns Road (Route 2001), to Taneytown Road (Route 134), to Route 15 southbound. Route 15 northbound will remain open.

The project is an emergency repair to replace a deteriorating pipe located just south of Sachs Road in Cumberland Township.

The work is expected to be completed by 7:00 a.m. on Friday January 31.
