Ursinus waltzed through singles play with straight-set wins at five of the six positions. Freshman Tierney Cantwell (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) battled to a 7-5, 6-3 setback against Avery Samer at No. 4, while junior Alexis Rinker (Prince Frederick, Md./Calvert) came up short in a 6-4, 6-3 loss to Caitlin Vinsonhaler at No. 3.
Making her first appearance of the season at the top flight, Rozenfeld held on for a razor-thin decision over Russell. The Gettysburg first-year, who competed at the No. 2 position in the three prior matches, held on for a 7-5 win in the opening set, but Russell bounced back with her own two-point victory in the second. Rozenfeld came away with the win by claiming the final tiebreaker 10-8.
