The Gettysburg Service Unit of the Salvation Army is getting ready for the 2020 Red Kettle Campaign.
This year the ringers will stand 6′ away from the kettles. The stands and kettles will be disinfected several times during the day by volunteers. Masks, gloves, and sanitizer for the bells will be provided at each kettle stand.
There are still a few empty slots for volunteers at both the Gettysburg Walmart and at the Showers Tree Farm in Aspers.
The kettle will be at Walmart Nov. 27 through Dec. 24, from 9:00 a.m. 9:00 p.m.
There will be two kettles at Showers Tree Farm from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on November 27, 28, and 29.
