As he does every year for his birthday, Founding Executive/Artistic Director of the Gettysburg Community Theatre (GCT), Chad-Alan Carr, will perform a piano bar cabaret style concert of mostly Broadway music to raise funds for the theatre Scholarship Funds. GCT, the non-profit 501c3 organization located at 49 York Street within the first block of Lincoln Square in Gettysburg, PA, now in its 16th Season will present Mostly Broadway with cash/credit bar opening at 6pm and concert at 7pm Saturday, September 28, 2024.
“Joining me on stage to sing”, says Carr “will be the very talented singer Kate Sainer, along with the fabulous Jamie Bowman and Carrie Conklin who will not only be singing but also accompanying on the piano. There may even be a sing along for the audience as well like a NYC piano bar. It is tradition at this annual concert, that I announce the new season of plays and musicals for GCT’s upcoming 17th Season!”

Guests will be encouraged to check out the theatre’s new bar menu including theatre themed cocktails, beer, wine and sangria and are encouraged to bring refreshments into the theatre with them for the concert. The concert is appropriate for all ages, but guests must be 21+ with a valid ID for the bar drinks.
There are limited tickets available for this concert, but donations can also be made at anytime to the Taylor Zimmerman Memorial Scholarship for GCT via www.GettysburgCommunityTheatre.org and/or to the Betsy & Hank White Memorial Scholarship for GCT via the Adams County Community Foundation www.adamscountycf.org/for-donors/donate-now/ GCT Scholarships helps support The Penguin Project so that it remains a tuition free program for youth with special needs, as well as supports participation in Gettysburg Community Theatre camps, classes and other participatory programs by K-12 students who would not otherwise afford it. Taylor Zimmerman was a former student and friend of Chad’s and Hank and Betsy White were patrons of GCT for years. Their loved ones created Memorial Scholarship Funds to honor their name and to bless GCT students for years to come.
