Mark your calendars: The Gettysburg Rec Park is turning up the Memorial Day vibe again this year.
The second annual Summer Music Fest is set for Saturday, May 23, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the rec park bandstand, bringing a full afternoon and evening of live music, food, and community fun. This year’s event is also part of Adams County’s 250th anniversary celebration, adding even more reason to come out and join the party.
The free festival will feature a strong lineup of local favorites, including The Rust Hounds, Heads or Tails Experience, Sugar Hysteria, Jake Groft, Jillian Christine, and Metasped. Music will run all day, alongside food trucks, local vendors, and activities for all ages.
But Summer Music Fest is more than just a good time—it’s also a fundraiser to support and expand the skate park at Gettysburg Rec Park. Donations collected during the event will go directly toward improvements at the park, helping grow a space that’s become a hub for local youth and families.
Organizers say the goal is simple: bring the community together, celebrate local talent, and support a great cause—all in one place.
So bring a chair, grab some food, and settle in for a day of music and summer energy at the rec park bandstand on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.
