Jones Mills, PA – United States Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) has officially endorsed congressional candidate Todd Rowley (D-Westmoreland County) to represent Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional District (PA-13) in the United States House of Representatives.

“Todd Rowley is running to fight for working families in Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional District and bring our Nation together. From his work as an Emergency Medical Technician to his service as a Special Agent in the FBI, Todd has spent a lifetime serving his community, his Commonwealth, and his country. He is uniquely prepared to help solve the challenges families in Southwestern and Central Pennsylvania face and I know he will be a fierce advocate in Washington for the people of the 13th District. I am proud to support Todd Rowley and his campaign for Congress,” stated Senator Casey.
“As the Democratic nominee for PA-13 and a proud Pennsylvanian, I am honored to receive this endorsement from Senator Casey. The senator’s distinguished career as a public servant and his demonstrated proven leadership to the citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the American people has inspired me to seek this elected office,” Rowley said.
Rowley continued by stating, “Senator Casey has always fought for hardworking families and is a lifelong advocate for the welfare of children and fellow citizens with disabilities. His decency, integrity and willingness and ability to work across the aisle on behalf of Pennsylvanians and the American people will also guide me should I be so honored to be elected to Congress. My commitment to all citizens of PA-13, regardless of political party affiliation, will be to have courage to speak truth to power and never use rhetoric of fear, untruths or disinformation, or hate to divide us as Americans. I will always place the interests of our country and the American people above political or personal self-interests. I am humbled and grateful to Senator Casey for the trust he has placed in me with this endorsement.”
Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional District covers Adams, Bedford, Blair, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon and Somerset counties, as well as portions of Cambria, Cumberland and Westmoreland counties.
The district has been represented by the first-term incumbent Congressman John Joyce (R-Blair County) since 2018.
“It is time for positive change and much-needed leadership that the citizens of PA-13 and our country expect and deserve,” said Rowley. “The citizens of PA-13 – working class men and women – deserve a representative in Congress, a voice in Washington who will fight for their families’ economic opportunity and security; not corporate donors and special interest groups.” According to FiveThirtyEight, Representative Joyce has voted in line with President Trump 97.5% of the time, the highest among the Pennsylvania GOP Congressional delegation. “The voters of Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional District deserve a representative in Congress who will provide constituents with independent judgment and decision-making, while representing their values and protecting their interests. I believe that I can be that person and a representative for all citizens.”
Mr. Rowley has also received endorsements from some key organized labor groups with the campaign anticipating additional endorsements from other important unions, organizations and elected officials in the weeks ahead.
Mr. Rowley has been endorsed by the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA), the Greater Westmoreland County Labor Council, the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO, the UAW, the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1776, the Pennsylvania Professional Fire Fighters Association (PPFFA), the National Postal Mail Handlers Union (NPMHU) Local 322 and the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE). Mr. Rowley is recognized as a Clean Money Candidate by the Clean Money Squad of Pennsylvania and has pledged his support to the American Anti-Corruption Act model legislation for campaign finance reform. Mr. Rowley was recently endorsed by the Gettysburg Area Democracy for America.
“Receiving the endorsements from so many important organized labor groups – the hardworking men and women union members – who have put their trust and confidence in me to represent their personal family and professional interests is a tremendous honor and responsibility that I do not take lightly. Receiving these union endorsements, along with this endorsement from Senator Casey, has elevated the interest and enthusiasm for my candidacy and our campaign. I am honored and thankful to have this opportunity to be the Congressional nominee and to offer the voters of PA-13 a clear choice in November as to who they want to represent them and their family in Congress,” Rowley said.
