Slide Show: Lenten Fish Fry tradition continues at St. Francis Xavier

St. Francis Xavier Parish offers fish dinners located at Xavier Center, 465 Table Rock Road, Gettysburg on Fridays during Lent. The first dinner this year was held on March 7th. There were also dinners held on March 14 and 21st.  They will continue to be held on March 28 and April 4, 2025. To go and dine in options are held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.

The Admiral offers two seasoned cod pieces, two sides, dessert, and a drink from $15 or two fried pieces, two sides, dessert, and a drink for $14.

The Yeoman is a new addition to the menu this year. It is a fish alternative: Haluski (sautéed and seasoned cabbage, onion, and noodles), one side, dessert, and a drink for $12.

The first Mate consists of a fried haddock fillet with a slice of cheese served on a bun. Coleslaw and one side, dessert, and a drink are included for $11.

Seaman 1st is available for kindergarten through 12 grade students only. It’s a fish sandwich, one side, dessert, and drink for $6.

The Landlubber features Deliso Ristorante Pizza. 2 slices of pizza, dessert, and a drink can be purchased for $6 or the above with 1 slice or $4.

The sides vary weekly and can include roasted potatoes, seasoned vegetables, macaroni and cheese, coke slaw, and corn pudding. SFX offers a wide variety of desserts. Children under 5 eat for free.  The proceeds support St. Francis Xavier Parish.
