Yesterday’s high school softball action saw the Fairfield Lady Knights emerge victorious against the Biglerville Canners, winning 11-3 at Fairfield.
Fairfield took control early, scoring three in the first and two in the second inning before Biglerville could get on the board. Four runs in the bottom of the fourth salted the game away in the Lady Knights’ favor.
The key offensive player for the victorious Lady Knights was Chrissy Hamilton, who collected three hits and an RBI.
For the Canners, Sydney McCleaf had a double and an RBI, while Claudia also Bricker had a double.
On the pitching side, Ellie Snyder of the Lady Knights delivered an outstanding performance, allowing only three runs on ten hits and striking out four batters in her seven innings of work. For the Canners, McCleaf pitched five innings, allowing seven runs, only four of them earned, while striking out three.
