GETTYSBURG, Pa. The Gettysburg College softball team will host two separate Fall Prospect Clinics at Bobby Jones Field on Saturday, Sept. 18, and Saturday, Oct. 16.
The Fall Prospect Clinics provide an opportunity for prospects in grades 9-12 interested in attending Gettysburg to be evaluated by the Bullets softball coaching staff. Coaches will work with individuals on all aspects of the game: hitting, defense, pitching, catching, strategy, and mental training. The major emphasis will be to prepare athletes for advanced-level competition through individual and team development. The day will end with a campus tour and Q&A given by Gettysburg Head Coach Annette Hunt-Shepherd and current student-athletes.
The clinics will take place at Bobby Jones Field in the shadow of the historic Peace Light Memorial on the Gettysburg Battlefield. In case of inclement weather, the camp will be moved inside the Bream-Wright-Hauser Athletic Complex.
All participants must bring their own equipment, which should include a glove, bat, hat, cleats, or athletics shoes (if indoors), athletic attire, and a water bottle. Catchers must bring their own gear.
If you would like to learn from the 2021 Centennial Conference Champions and NCAA Division III participates, the cost for each event is $115 and includes a t-shirt. The registration for both clinics will begin at 9:30 a.m.
