Description: This photo is of two American Robin nestlings. My children and I discovered a nest of baby Robins near our back deck. So over the course of a couple of weeks, from the middle of May to the end of the month, I took a series of photos each day of the babies to document their development. Each morning and throughout the day for two weeks, I took several dozen photos of the Robins. I used a remote shutter release with the camera on silent so as not to disturb the little ones or the mother. It was a wonderfully bittersweet feeling the morning in late May when I went outside to begin taking photos of the little Robins only to find that the nestlings had left the nest and become fledglings. In this photo, the Robins are about a week and a half old.
