Gettysburg is welcoming a new spot for classic comfort food with the opening of Steinwehr Diner, located at 226 Steinwehr Avenue. The diner officially opens its doors on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. Locals and visitors alike can savor familiar favorites served all day.
Steinwehr Diner will be open daily from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., making it easy to stop in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Designed to be a place where everyone can find something they love, Steinwehr Diner features all-day breakfast, including hearty options such as breakfast wraps, waffles, and French toast will be available even at lunchtime and dinner. Restaurant Manger, Rachel Maddox said, “If you’re craving a burger in the morning, you can have one!”
The menu offers a wide variety of dishes. For breakfast, diners can enjoy pancakes, steak and eggs, various benedicts, such as Irish and Florentine. Sausage gravy over biscuits, chipped beef, avocado toast, among many other fan favorite are breakfast options. There are a variety of breakfast bowls such as Greek, New York Steak, and sunrise bowls. They are served over eggs or tater tots or home fries. Corned beef hash, scrapple, oatmeal, and so much more will be available.
Guests can enjoy Steinwehr Sandwiches such as tuna salad, Rachel or Reubens, and crab cakes which are served with chips and pickles. Wings, fresh salads, paninis, and comforting soups are on the menu. Stir-fry selections, Italian specials, and seafood items are also available, adding even more variety.
