At the stroke of midnight on New Year Eve, the wig will be raised from the top of Thaddeus Stevens statue in front of the Adams County Courthouse at the corner of Baltimore and Middle Streets.
Before the rising, there will be a Thaddeus Stevens look-alike contest starting at 11 p.m. The winner will be a Stevens statuette. To enter call 717-347-8159 or email info@thaddeusstevenssociety.com The event is free and open to the public.
