The Arc of York & Adams Counties will host its Buddy Walk from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Gettysburg Rec Park. The event celebrates inclusion and supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
Everyone is welcome, and attendees do not need to be part of a team to join. Organizers say the afternoon will include hair tinseling, a photo booth, therapy ponies from Shining Stars Therapeutic Riding, temporary tattoos from Gettysburg Tattoo Co., yard games and a bounce house.
Food will be available from the Jacked Up! food truck and Tasha’s Tasty Treats. The event will also feature Olivia Thayer’s Pink Sprint Racecar and other activities.
The Buddy Walk is organized by The Arc of York & Adams Counties, which serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
