End Time: 8:00 PM
The Long, Long, Long, Long Dinner Party is a bold concept for a fundraising event.
But downtown Gettysburg and its people deserve this. The event will support revitalization efforts in Gettysburg, notably the current project to revitalize the Baltimore Street Historic Pathway, the route President Abraham Lincoln traveled in 1863 to deliver his immortal Gettysburg Address.
The evening will be an expansive, community potluck dinner, set outdoors, where food, fun, and laughter will fill the early autumn air. This potluck dinner, called the Long, Long, Long, Long Dinner Party, will benefit the ongoing Gettysburg revitalization efforts managed through the nonprofit organization, Main Street Gettysburg.
The two southern Quads of Lincoln Square and all of Baltimore Street from Lincoln Square to South Street will be closed to vehicular traffic and will become a massive pedestrian mall.
The Long, Long, Long, Long Dinner Party table will stretch down the middle of a blocked-off Baltimore Street, all the way from Lincoln Square to South Street——a distance of four blocks. Guests can purchase their meals from a wide variety of food trucks and area restaurants; or they can bring their own potluck dinners from home. Also, a spirits tent will be set up on Lincoln Square. This is an open-air fundraising party, with entertainment and surprises, the whole town can enjoy with their families, friends, and neighbors.
EVENT TICKETS
Tickets are $15 per person (which includes the Eventbrite processing fee) and they reserve a seat at the dinner party. Each table has 8 seats.
If tickets still remain, they can be purchased at the event for $20 per person.
