Three members of the Gettysburg women’s lacrosse team were named to the All-America team by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA), which released the list on Friday.
Jordan Basso earned first-team accolades, while Lily Macatee and Caroline Sullivan claimed second-team honors.
Basso, a senior attacker, was the Centennial Conference (CC) Attacker of the Year for the third straight year and a first-team all-conference selection. It is also her third straight first-team All-American recognition from the coaches’ organization. Starting all 21 games, she led the conference with 111 points on 68 goals and 43 assists. She had 18 multi-goal games this season and recorded six or more points in 12 games this season. She also had 37 ground balls, and 21 caused turnovers.
Macatee, a junior defender, was a first-team All-CC selection for the second straight year. It is her second All-America honor from IWLCA after being named first team in 2023. Starting all 21 games, she was second on the team with 92 draw controls and second with 41 ground balls. She also added 19 caused turnovers and added an assist against Stevens on Apr. 9. She had five games this season with six or more draw controls, including corralling 13 at York (Pa.) on Mar. 20.
Sullivan, a senior midfielder, was the CC Co-Midfielder of the Year and was the first player in conference history to be named first-team all-conference a fourth time. It is her third All-America accolade from IWLCA after being tabbed third team in 2022 and 2023. Starting all 21 games, she was second on the team with 85 points on 37 goals and a team-high 48 assists. She also added a team-high 43 ground balls to go with 17 caused turnovers and 11 draw controls. She handed out three or more assists eight times this season and had 14 games with four or more points.
The Bullets (17-4, 9-0 CC) earned an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament and advanced to the third round.
