Fayetteville, PA – Totem Pole Playhouse kicks off the next chapter of its 75th Diamond Anniversary Season with the high-energy hit 9 to 5: The Musical, opening Friday, June 20 and running for 20 performances only through July 6. Based on the 1980 blockbuster film, this laugh-out-loud musical features an original Grammy-nominated score by Dolly Parton and a hilarious script that turns workplace woes into toe-tapping triumph.
Set in a 1979 office, the story follows three smart, underestimated women who band together to take control of their lives—and their company—by outsmarting their terrible boss. It’s a feel-good, fast-paced comedy that blends outrageous fun with a timely message about empowerment, equity, and friendship. With powerhouse vocals, clever choreography, and the spirit of Dolly shining throughout, 9 to 5 is the ultimate summer escape.
The cast features Amy Decker (Will Rogers Follies, Phantom), Allie Seibold (Footloose – International Tour), Hannah Taylor (Six, Little Women), Taylor Whidden, and Billy Clark Taylor alongside a stellar ensemble of performers and over 25 local artists and crew who bring the stage to life. The creative team includes Director Ryan B. Gibbs (Wicked, Rent, Mary Poppins), Music Director Darren Server, and Choreographer Cody Smith (Radio City Christmas Spectacular), with scenic design by Tom Ryan, costumes by Elizabeth Angelozzi, hair by Brandon T. Miller, props by Sam Little, and sound by Kate Wecker.

Performances run Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM, with matinees Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 2:00 PM.
