LANCASTER, Pa. – Sophomore goalie Shannon Twill (Warren, N.J./Watchung Hills) completed the weekly award hat trick with her third selection as the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, April 27.

Twill, who was named the top weekly defensive player on March 23 and April 6, landed her third award following fifth-ranked Gettysburg College’s (5-0) dominating 20-3 victory over McDaniel College on April 24. The sophomore played all 60 minutes and totaled eight saves and three ground balls in the lop-sided win.

On the season, Twill ranks first in the CC in save percentage (.654) and second in goals against average (4.72). Those marks rank her second (tied) and sixth, respectively, in NCAA Division III.

Gettysburg has earned seven Player of the Week awards this season. In addition to Twill’s three nods, seniors Bri Stokes (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury) and Kerry McKeever (Stony Brook, N.Y./Ward Melville) and freshman Jordan Basso (Rye, N.Y./Rye) have been named the top weekly offensive players and freshman Caroline Sullivan (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) earned the defensive honor.

Gettysburg (5-0) closes the regular season at No. 1 Franklin & Marshall College (5-0) this Saturday at noon. No fans will be allowed at athletic contests hosted by Centennial Conference institutions this spring. All lacrosse games will be streamed live on the Centennial Conference Digital Network.
