The United Way of Adams County will host its annual bingo fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 20, offering a night of games, prizes, and community support at the Gettysburg Area Recreation Park.
The event will be held in the Sterner Building, 545 Long Lane, beginning in the evening. Tickets are \$30 and include admission to 20 games. In addition to bingo, guests can take part in raffles, door prize drawings, and a 50/50 contest. Cash prizes will be awarded throughout the night.
Proceeds will benefit United Way programs across Adams County, which provide early learning opportunities for children, mentorship for at-risk youth, and home and health care services for seniors. Organizers say those programs are aimed at improving quality of life across the community, with a particular focus on its most vulnerable residents.
United Way of Adams County partners with local agencies and volunteers to expand access to education, health services, and financial stability. By raising funds through events like bingo night, the organization is able to continue offering services that help children succeed in school, keep teens connected with supportive adults, and ensure older residents can remain independent at home.
Along with the games and fundraising activities, the evening is designed to bring neighbors together in support of a shared mission. United Way officials emphasize that every ticket sold contributes directly to community programs that make a difference for families and individuals in need.
The bingo fundraiser is open to the public, and organizers encourage early ticket purchases to guarantee a seat. For more information, residents can contact the United Way of Adams County or visit its offices in Gettysburg.
