Community members will have three opportunities in mid-July to help local students prepare for the upcoming school year by donating school supplies through the annual Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive.
The initiative will collect new and gently used school supplies and clothing to assist students and families in the Upper Adams School District before classes resume this fall.
Donations will be accepted at three locations:
* Biglerville Elementary School, July 15, from 3 to 6 p.m.
* Upper Adams Intermediate School, July 16, from noon to 3 p.m.
* Biglerville High School, July 17, from 9 a.m. to noon.
A wide variety of classroom supplies is sought, including notebooks, paper, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, colored pencils, highlighters, binders, folders, glue sticks, scissors, tissues, disinfectant wipes, backpacks and hygiene products.
The drive will also accept new or gently used school clothing in children’s sizes 5T through adult plus sizes.
The goal of the program is to ensure students have the supplies they need to begin the school year ready to learn while easing the financial burden on local families.
For more information about the Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive or to learn how to help, contact Ms. Calderon at 717-677-7191, ext. 2512.
The annual effort invites residents to “stuff the bus” with donated supplies, helping children throughout the Upper Adams community start the new school year equipped for success.
