The Gettysburg Vegetarian/Vegan Dinner Club is inviting the public to a free evening of food and learning on Thursday, September 4. The event, set for 6 p.m. at the Gettysburg Seventh-day Adventist Church, will feature a four-course plant-based dinner followed by a presentation on natural health practices.
This month’s guest speaker is Lillian Torres, a medical missionary and Associate Director of Evangelism for the Pennsylvania Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Torres will discuss the health benefits of hydrotherapy, highlighting its role in stress relief, pain management, fever control, detoxification, and overall wellness.
The dinner will include soup, an organic salad, an entrée, and a healthy dessert, offering attendees a chance to enjoy nutritious vegan cuisine. Alongside the meal, guests will learn practical ways to incorporate water-based therapies into daily routines for better health outcomes.
The club, which regularly hosts free community dinners, emphasizes the connection between healthy living and community education. Its events are designed to bring people together over plant-based meals while also addressing topics that support physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Seating for the September 4 event is limited, and reservations are required by Monday, September 1. Because of the dinner’s popularity, organizers are encouraging early sign-ups to secure a place.
The gathering will be held at the Gettysburg Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 1495 Biglerville Road in Gettysburg. Reservations can be made through the church’s website at www.getsdac.org.
