Virginia Lee Miller, 70, of New Oxford

Virginia Lee Miller, a New Oxford resident who spent 50 years working in patient-care positions at Hanover Hospital, died Oct. 6, 2026, surrounded by family. She was 70.

Born March 25, 1956, Miller was active in the New Oxford Social Club, AMVETS of Hanover, East Berlin VFW and McSherrystown Moose Lodge. She enjoyed reading, baking, traveling and collecting Pepsi items.

She was the wife of Stephen Miller and mother of Benjamin Miller of Hanover and Becky Miller of Abbottstown. Her family also included eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is additionally survived by her brother, James Carson; sister, Mary Long; step-sister Joyce Hartlaub; step-brother Wayne Chrismer; and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, two brothers, stepfather and two stepbrothers died before her.

A viewing is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Feiser Funeral and Cremation Care in New Oxford. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the funeral home, followed by burial at Biglerville Cemetery. The family requests donations to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Cancer Research.
