Gettysburg Community Theatre is seeking volunteers to help design and paint new murals that will become part of the theatre’s public art display. Students in grades 3 through 12 and adults are invited to participate in this creative community project.
The mural sessions will be led by a local artist, who will teach participants about mural painting techniques and guide them through the design and creation process. All meetings will be held indoors in Studio C at Gettysburg Community Theatre.
Volunteers can choose to attend evening sessions on Tuesdays or Wednesdays throughout October and November. Participation is flexible — those interested are encouraged to sign up even if they can only volunteer for one or two weeks. The project is free and open to anyone who wants to contribute to a fun, educational, and artistic effort that will leave a lasting mark on the community.
The theatre hopes to bring together a mix of students and adults to collaborate on the murals, fostering both artistic skills and community engagement. The finished pieces will enhance the theatre’s exterior, creating new public art for residents and visitors to enjoy.
