Join Healthy Adams County’s Physical Fitness Task Force for a delightful walking event scheduled for May 22nd at Twin Lakes West, just west of Gettysburg. This event promises a blend of fitness, fun, and food, making it a perfect outing for families and individuals alike.
The event kicks off at 1:00 PM with a professionally led walk guided by Stefanie Maitland, an experienced Exercise Specialist. Participants will have the chance to complete a scenic two-mile journey encompassing three loops through quiet, mostly level neighborhood roads that are bathed in sunshine. It’s an ideal route for both seasoned walkers and beginners.

From 4:00 to 6:00 PM, the event will open up for self-guided walks where attendees can explore at their own pace. The neighborhood will be dotted with signs for silly and engaging activities designed to keep the spirits high and the laughs coming, making it an excellent adventure for kids and adults.
Participants are encouraged to park at Clementina’s Pizza, located at 1685 Fairfield Rd. Not only will you find ample parking here, but you’re also invited to enjoy a delicious meal before or after your walk. Simply take a right out of the parking lot onto Fairplay Rd. and follow the provided map to reach the event site.
The walks are FREE and open to everyone. Dogs on leashes are welcome except as specified. Participants are asked to bring a bottle of water. Email questions to ejmeyer99@hotmail.com or check facebook.com/healthyadamscounty.
