Want to learn how to fish? Trout Unlimited might be able to help.

The Adams County chapter of Trout Unlimited (ACTU) is considering launching a “Fishing 101” course—and they’re seeking your input!

If you, your spouse, your children or grandchildren, a neighbor, or a friend have an interest in picking up a new hobby, please reach out to the folks at ACTU with your contact info as well as key areas of interest. Some areas to consider include the following, but also let them know if there are other topics you’d be interested in as well:

0

Introduction to fly fishing and casting
Introduction to fly tying
Introduction to spin fishing
Where to fish in Adams County and the broader local area
Preferred timing for the training (e.g., day of the week, morning v. afternoon, duration of sessions)
Preferred interest in a series of lessons v. a one-day class
Once the folks at ACTU have gauged the community’s areas and levels of interest, etc., they’ll pull together an educational program designed to address these needs and make that information available to all who respond
