WellSpan Health has received the highest level of certification for workplace mental health from Mental Health America, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for people facing mental illness.
The 2024 Platinum Bell Seal Award for Workplace Mental Health reflects WellSpan’s commitment to creating and maintaining a positive work culture that values and supports the mental health and well-being of all employees. This recognition is a testament to the organization’s efforts to create a supportive environment where employees feel valued, respected, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
The award was achieved through a rigorous evaluation of WellSpan’s policies and practices across four areas: workplace culture, benefits, compliance, and wellness programs. WellSpan received the highest-ranking award, the platinum, which is used to certify employers who have made significant efforts to create mentally healthy workplaces. Only one in four employers in the country receive this award.
WellSpan is committed to continuing its efforts to promote and support the mental health and well-being of all employees. The organization offers a range of well-being programs and services, including a Wellbeing Steering Committee to oversee all efforts, a Wellbeing Council for physicians and advanced practice providers specifically, mental health awareness and training into new hire orientation, ongoing professional development programs, and comprehensive mental health benefits.
