For the third year in a row, WellSpan Health has been named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity by Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group. This prestigious recognition for 2025 highlights WellSpan’s ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.
“At WellSpan, we focus on cultivating a workplace where every team member feels a sense of belonging and is empowered to thrive,” said Aaron Gillingham, senior vice president and chief people officer. Initiatives like the Team Member Resource Groups (TMRGs), launched earlier this year, play a pivotal role. These voluntary, employee-led groups connect team members with shared identities and workplace allies to provide insights that advance diversity and health equity.

Building on its award-winning Inclusion Champion Training Program, which has graduated over 325 participants since 2022, WellSpan actively promotes allyship and equity among its workforce. “This recognition reaffirms our dedication to creating a culture where every team member can excel while ensuring our care reflects the diverse communities we serve,” added Kim Brister, vice president and chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer.
Looking ahead, WellSpan continues to expand its initiatives, including the third annual Black Men in White Coats Youth Summit on May 31, aimed at inspiring students from grades six to 12 to pursue medical careers and address racial disparities in healthcare.
