WellSpan Health has released its annual Community Impact Report for 2023, highlighting the ways in which they are working to improve the health and well-being of the communities they serve in South Central Pennsylvania.
The report shows that WellSpan Health has invested significantly in community programs and outreach efforts, with a mission to enhance health, ensure lifelong wellness, and foster healthy communities. This includes providing $1.5 million in Community Partnership Grants to non-profit organizations that are supporting initiatives that advance the organization’s Community Health Needs Assessment priorities.
WellSpan Health has also taken steps to improve access to care for individuals experiencing food, housing, and transportation insecurity, ensuring that they have access to the necessary services to help them live healthier lives. The health system has also offered health programs to 25,000 people to promote mental well-being and prevent and manage chronic disease, helping to improve their overall health and well-being.
