Winning artists for 2026 HGAC BarnArt Show announced

Congratulations to all the winners at HGAC’s 18th BarnArt Show and Sale! The awards were announced on Opening Night on Friday, June 12 at the G.A.R. Hall in Gettysburg.

The Best of Show in Fine Art award went to May Moores for “Snow Day” and the Best of Show Photography award went to Jessica Murray for “Codori Farm.”

Second place for Photography was awarded to Andrew Muenzfeld for “Red Rock Barn.” For the first time in recent memory there was a tie for second place for Fine Art:  Maria Downey for “The Little Red Barn” and Don Rinehart for “Linsey’s Barn.”

Opening Night attendees cast their votes for Pat Koziski’s “Early Spring Morning” as the People’s Choice Award. The Artists’ Choice Award went to Mary Moores for “Snow Day.”

HGAC thanks contemporary maximalist and surrealist artist Sarah Jacobs for her work in judging this year’s show, which featured 105 artworks by 50 local and regional artists.

Proceeds from the BarnArt Show sales benefit HGAC’s Barn Preservation Project and Grant Program, which funds grants to Adams County barn owners to help them make needed repairs.
