LANCASTER, Pa. The Gettysburg College women’s golf team concluded its 2021 season on the final two-day Centennial Conference Championship event at the Conestoga Country Club in Lancaster on Sunday.
Match Summary
In the second round, junior Cameron D’Amica (Milford, N.J./Delaware Valley) hit six bogeys with four coming on the back nine and a par on hole No. 17. She placed 11th overall after carding a two-day total of 195 (94-101) on the par-70 5,629 yard course. D’Amica was the Bullets’ top golfer through four rounds this season after posting two top-five finishes.
Seniors Lindsay Waller (Perry, Mich./Perry) and Claire Nagel (South Plainfield, N.J./South Plainfield) concluded their conference championship debuts by finishing 19th (109-115= 224) and 23rd (118-119=237), respectively.
Marymount University (Va.) captured its first conference title with a combined team score of 722 (363-359) and Dickinson College finished as runner-ups with a two-day total score of 807 (421-386). Cabrini University claimed third (417-426=843) and Ursinus College took fourth (457-459=916).
The Bullets were one of four squads without the minimum number of golfers to qualify for a team score.
Marymount’s Isabel Trojillo won the individual championship with a score of 172 (84-88) after a one-hole decision with teammate Hunter Gillis. Trojillo made a par and Gillis bogeyed on hole No. 1 pushing Gillis to finish as the runner-up.
