GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College women’s lacrosse program will host the annual Battle of Gettysburg Women’s Lacrosse 5v5 Tournament and Clinic for high school girls on Sunday, February 9, 2020 beginning at 9:30 a.m. and going until 1:30 p.m. at Clark Field and the Hauser Field House.
Cost for players to participate is $80. Payment as well as a completed registration form must be received by February 3, 2020. Players may register as either a team (ranging in size from 6-10 players; GK required) or they may register as individuals and we will place them on a team of independents.
The day is designed for players who are looking to polish their skills before the start of their seasons. The morning will start out with a brief clinic covering 5v5 attacking and defensive principles and will include demonstrations by the reigning Centennial Conference Champions Gettysburg College women’s lacrosse team, and coaching from the Gettysburg staff, including four-time Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Coach of the Year honoree Carol Cantele ’83.
Players should bring the following items with them to the clinic: eye wear, mouth guard, stick, goalie equipment (if applicable), water bottle and clothing for both indoor and outdoor environments. Cross-trainers are the recommended footwear.
Registration will take place between 8:45-9:30 a.m. Registration will take place in The Center Lobby located on W. Lincoln Ave. As stated on your registration form – there will be no refunds issued if you choose not to attend.
