GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College women’s lacrosse team will host its annual Prospect Day Sunday, Sept. 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Clark Field.

The one-day camp is an opportunity for high school athletes who are interested in Gettysburg College to showcase their talent in front of the Bullets’ coaching staff. The event includes over 3.5 hours of on-field training, drill work, and small/full-sided games. The coaching staff will be joined with current Gettysburg student-athletes in supervising the day.

The Prospect Day will take place on Clark Field on the north side of the historic Gettysburg Battlefield and in the shadow of the Peace Light Memorial. All attendees are required to bring their own sticks, mouth guards, goggles, cleats and sneakers, and water bottles.

The cost for the camp is $125, and are encouraged to register online. If you are unable to register online, please fill out the registration form with a check made payable to “Gettysburg College” and mail it to the following address:

Few programs can match the success of the Bullets. Since 2011, the program has captured three national championships, including back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018. Gettysburg has also won a record 12 championships in the Centennial Conference. Head Coach Carol Cantele ’83 is one of the most successful lacrosse coaches in history and ranks third all-time with 451 victories over 33 seasons as a head coach. Cantele has been named Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Coach of the Year four times (2006, 2011, 2017, 2018), IWLCA Metro Region Coach of the Year 10 times (2000, 2002-03, 2006, 2010-11, 2014, 2015, 2017-18), and was inducted into the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame in January of 2019.
