Women’s Soccer Moves Up in Regional Ranking

The Gettysburg College women’s soccer team has moved up to No. 7 in the United Soccer Coaches Division III Region V poll.

The Bullets (4-1-1, 1-1-1 CC), who were ranked at No. 9 for two consecutive weeks, are coming off a 1-0 loss to Centennial Conference foe McDaniel College and a 0-0 draw at CC opponent Swarthmore College.

Five other CC institutions are ranked in this week’s regional poll. Johns Hopkins University holds the top spot for the second week in a row and is followed by McDaniel at No. 2, Messiah University at No. 3, Dickinson College at No. 4, the University of Scranton at No. 5, Franklin & Marshall College at No. 6, and Haverford College at No. 8. Johns Hopkins, McDaniel, and Dickinson are also ranked in the national poll at No. 2, No. 10, and No. 19, respectively.

Gettysburg travels to Lebanon Valley College on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. start and play at CC opponent Bryn Mawr College on Saturday, beginning at 3 p.m.
