Gettysburg Recognized for Fourth Consecutive Week

After a 1-1 week, the Gettysburg College women’s soccer team retained a spot in the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Division III Region V poll.
For the fifth week in a row, the Bullets (7-2-1, 2-2-1 Centennial Conference) were ranked in the USC poll, holding the No. 7 spot for the third consecutive week.
Gettysburg lost 2-1 to second-ranked Johns Hopkins University and defeated St. Mary’s College of Maryland 1-0 last week.
In the USC rankings, No. 1 Johns Hopkins (9-0-1) was ranked ahead of the Bullets along with No. 2 McDaniel College (12-0), No. 3 Messiah University (8-2-1), No. 4 the University of Scranton (11-0), No. 5 Franklin & Marshall College (9-1-1), and No. 6 Dickinson College (8-3). Following the Bullets were No. 8 York College (Pa. – 8-4).
In the CC standings, McDaniel is on top with a 6-0 record and are followed by Johns Hopkins (5-0), Franklin & Marshall (3-1-1), Haverford College (3-2-1), Dickinson (3-2), Gettysburg (2-2-1) and Swarthmore College (2-2-1).
Gettysburg plays at Dickinson on Wednesday, Oct. 13, beginning at 7 p.m.
