Meet Highlights
- Freshman Mia Yancey (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) and senior Cate Kosko (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury East) had a hand in both relay victories on Friday. The two swam the lead-off and anchor, respectively, of the 200 medley relay with freshman Olivia Pyott (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) and sophomore Morgan Krepp (Dallas, Texas/Ursuline Academy) taking care of the breaststroke and butterfly legs. The team won by over six seconds at 1:53.11. In the 200 free relay, junior Grace Bobeck (Allentown, Pa./Salisbury), Kosko, freshman Lindsay Blake (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East), and Yancey won by 12 seconds at 1:45.39.
- Blake dominated the 1,000 free for the first of her two individual wins. The first-year kept each of her splits below 35 seconds and touched the wall more than 90 seconds in front of the runner-up with a time of 11:18.97. Blake returned to her specialty stroke for her second win and claimed a four-second win in the 100 back (1:02.86).
- Seven different Bullets accounted for the team’s remaining wins. In the sprint freestyles, Yancey won the 50 (26.19), Krepp won the 100 free (57.59), and freshman Gracie Meisner (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley) won the 200 free (2:06.54). Sophomore Isabel Williams (Princeton Junction, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro) posted the team’s final freestyle win in the 500 (5:46.01).
- Kosko rallied for a victory in the 100 fly, surging past Ella Tomkins of McDaniel over the final 50 yards to win with a time of 1:03.12. Pyott claimed an easy win in the 100 breast (1:08.87) and junior Lauren Manning (West Hartford, Conn./Conard) won the 400 IM by over 15 seconds with a time of 4:55.57.
