
– Freshman Talia Moss (Toronto, Ontario/Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute) was named the Centennial Conference Women’s Swimming Athlete of the Week for the third time this season it was announced on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
Moss won three breaststroke races and contributed to a relay victory in a 2-0 week for Gettysburg College in dual meet action. In a 140-64 win over Dickinson College, the first-year won the 100 breast by just three-hundredths of a second at 1:08.90. Three days later, she pulled out a trio of wins in a 166-96 decision over Franklin & Marshall College. Moss swam a season best time of 1:07.74 to win the 100 breast and claimed the 200-yard race with another personal best at 2:28.68. She also helped the 200 medley relay to a victory with a mark of 1:49.39.
Moss has won a total of 14 individual events this season. Her times in the 100/200 breaststroke races both rank fourth in the conference. She was named the CC Swimmer of the Week previously on Oct. 28 and Jan. 14.
Next up for Gettysburg is the CC Championship in the Bullets Pool on Feb. 20-23.
