CARLISLE, Pa. – Dickinson College won each of the six matches contested to defeat Gettysburg College 6-3 in Centennial Conference women’s tennis action Saturday afternoon.
Singles competition

Match Recap
Dickinson (1-1) held the upperhand despite sending out just four players. The Red Devils and Bullets featured a competitive battle at the top doubles flight with Martine Fierro and Ariana Goitz holding off sophomore Alex Rieg (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) and freshman Gillian Rozenfeld (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield) for an 8-5 decision.
The hosts swept the top four singles competitions in straight sets. Freshman Tierney Cantwell (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) won the most games for Gettysburg, dropping a 6-3, 6-1 decision to Goitz at the fourth flight. The Bullets picked up three forfeit wins.
Where the Series Stands Now
Dickinson has won 13 of the last 14 meetings with Gettysburg. The Red Devils lead the all-time series 26-21.
