
LANCASTER, Pa. – The Gettysburg College women’s track & field team competed in its first meet of 2020 at the Coach I Open at Franklin & Marshall College on Saturday. The Bullets officially opened the indoor season back on Dec. 7, 2019, at F&M.
Gettysburg’s Top Performers
- Georgia Larzelere ’22 (Medford, N.J./Shawnee)
- 800-Meter Run – 12th (2:31.91)
- Anna Pienkos ’22 (North Haven, Conn./Sacred Heart Academy)
- High Jump – Tied for 16th (4-06.75)
Meet Highlights
- In her first indoor meet of the season, Larzelere placed 12th in the 800-meter run out of 53 competitors, clocking a time of 2:31.91. Her personal-record is 2:20.55, which she set at the Bison Outdoor Classic.
- The 4×400-meter relay team, no names were listed on the results, claimed sixth out of 17 teams, crossing the finish line in 4:25.37.
- Pienkos leaped her way to a tie for 16th in the high jump (4-06.75).
- Freshman Amanda Addesso ’23 (Cheshire, Conn./Cheshire), who just completed her first year on the cross country team, raced to a 19th showing in the 3000-meter run with a time of 11:40.12.
- Freshman Cassidy Callahan (Fitchburg, Mass./Oakmont Regional) and sophomore Caitlin Yap (Wayne, N.J./Morris Catholic) registered a tie for 18th (8-00.00) and 20th (8-00.00), respectively, in the pole vault.
Coming Up
Gettysburg travels to Selinsgrove, Pa. to compete at the Susquehanna Challenge next Saturday, Feb. 1, at 9:30 a.m.
