Junior Amy Cantrell (Hailey, Idaho/Wood River) and sophomore Claira Royce (Canton, N.Y./Hugh C. Williams) were the top finishers for the Gettysburg College women’s cross country team at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational on Saturday at Big Spring High School.

The Finish Line
- Gettysburg finished with a combined team score of 172 to place fourth among 10 teams that earned a team score in both the 4,000- and 6,000-meter races. The Bullets scored 50 points in the 4K to finish fourth among 18 teams, and they posted a score of 122 in the 6K to come in tenth.
- Cantrell finished 13th among 153 competitors in the 4K, clocking 16:03. She was followed across the line by senior Kate O’Brien (Lynchburg, Va. Virginia Episcopal School), who placed two spots behind in 15th in 16:09, and junior Amanda Addesso (Cheshire, Conn./Cheshire), who too 30th in 16:36.
- Royce came in 37th in a field of 125, scaling the 6K in 25:53. Also figuring into the team scoring were freshman Emily Trout (Ocean View, Del. Sussex Academy), who placed 46th in 26:16, and freshman May Berger (Bel Air, Md. The John Carroll School), who was 55th in 26:41.
