An estimated crowd of 150 Democrats marched in support of presidential candidate Joe Biden and their other candidates on Sunday in Gettysburg.
“Our plan was to have a peaceful, socially distanced march to show support for our candidates, “said ACDC Chair Marcia Wilson, “and that’s just what we did.”
The march route was from Alumni Park at the corner of Baltimore and Lefever St. to the Gettysburg Square. When marchers arrived at the square, they went to each corner to wave their signs and flags.
Many motorists passing by showed their support with lots of waves and friendly honks.
The Democrats also offered a voter registration and merchandise table on the square.
The event was such a success that doing another before Election Day is being considered.
